Dr. Sana Al-Rubaye has been working at Complete Family Care since 2017, following the completion of her registrar training and earning her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016.
Dr. Sana has a particular interest in women's health, pregnancy care, menopause, and sexual health. Before moving to Australia in 2009 with her husband, she worked as an obstetrician and gynaecologist in Jordan for four years. Upon arriving in Australia, she worked at the Royal Women's Hospital and Ballarat Base Hospital and completed a diploma in obstetrics through the Royal Australian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is currently registered for shared care with local maternity hospitals and provides IUD insertion services, alongside her broader general practice.
Dr. Sana is also dedicated to holistic care, particularly in women's health, which led her to further specialise in rejuvenating treatments for hair loss and skin aging through platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments. She offers these services at Complete Family Care, along with injectable nutrients, having gained certification through the Australian Injectable Medicine Nutrition (AIMN). She is also a member of the Australian Menopause Society.
Education plays an important role in her professional life. Dr. Sana has been a supervisor at Complete Family Care since 2018 and enjoys teaching medical students as a lecturer at Melbourne University.
Outside of work, you will find her running around after her 2 boys or cooking traditional dishes for her family.
